Barbara Thomson - In Memorium

 

Barbara was a stalwart of Whangarei Youth Music and was associated with WYM right from the start in 1980. She was enthusiastic in her participation and was instrumental in the success of our recorder groups. Although recorders were her focus at WYM, Barbara played piano, and the oboe. It was her time as a conductor and tutor in recorders for which she will be fondly remembered. Barbara received a QSM in 2012 for her services to music and was a lifetime member of Whangarei Youth Music.
