Hi musicians and musician supporters,
This Friday is the end of Term 1 2017 - that has gone by so quickly!
There are a few things I want to let you know about:
Good morning! 4 quick points to make today - read on...
Welcome to 2017 Musicians and musician supporters!
2017 dates for your calendars...
See you soon,
Dear WYM supporters,
Thank you all for a very special end of year concert (though it was quite a while ago!). We have many thank yous' to make...
Thank you to all players for making stage transitions smooth by making sure you were all organised outside the stage doors.
Thank you for playing your absolute best - you can all be proud with your performances and long may your successes continue!
Thank you Eila-Rose for the fabulous last minute taking on of our stage coordinator role - very much appreciated and you did a great job!
Thank you to all our helpers who came at 11:30am to take gear over to Forum North and who took gear back over to OL at the end - set up and pack down seemed one of the most efficient we've seen.
Thank you to our very efficient stage crew. Transitions were quick and because of your thinking ahead, the concert ran mostly ahead of time and sound checks were finished at the right time also.
Thank you Vanamali for stepping in and working on the lighting and sound.
Thank you to Atsuko for your help coordinating Forum North and keeping the youth organisers on track and for any more behind the scenes things we do not know about!
Thank you Mark and Felicity for your continued support for WYM.
Thank you conductors for organising your groups, sorting stage plans and dealing with the many emails sent to you (some last minute!). Thank you for the work you have put into each individual group and seeing the progress is just fantastic!
Thank you all for your invaluable input into WYM and we look forward to seeing you again on the 10th of February for new WYM adventures.
Orchestra is still on the look out for a regular bassoon player and an oboe player and new members are always welcome - so make sure if you have any family or friends who might benefit from getting involved in WYM, get them along!
We wish you all a very Happy New Year!
Your Organising Team

And this sounds like lots of fun - getting creative in christmas art themed musical way…Youth Music is again decorating a tree at the Festival of Christmas Trees at St John’s Golden Church on Kamo Road.We need you to make a decoration or two in a musical style to hang on our tree. Look for the Christmas box at the front desk for ideas and to put your creations in…a star with a photo of you playing your instrument…use old music to fold into a shape…use old cards for their pictures or cardboard…some Christmas shapes will be in there for you to take….who can make the best one?
